The scarcely seen lithograph, a trial proof from the edition believed to be of 36 prints, is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left near the inscription of 'Trial Proof.' The 'remarque' of Hurd's son Peter is present in the lower margin beneath the mat.

No record of this print having been offered at auction can be found. Four examples are held in museum collections, no others are known.
Image measures 11.75 x 10.75, sheet is 15.75 x 12.5 with a framed size of 21.75 x 20.5 inches.
Good condition, noting close margin on right side, three sides with deckle edge, toning in the margins and a mat burn framing the image. scattered light stains in the margins, not laid down, no damage or repair, .
Provenance: Private Rossville, Kansas collection spanning two generations.
