The pale plum field with a central flower head radiating palmettes framed by raceme of blossom, supported by mirrored flowering plants and vines issuing feather leaves, within a blue border enclosing continuous palmettes alternating with flower heads linked by leaf adorned curvilinear vines.
Measures 78 x 49.25 inches.
Nice intact sides with original wrap and good ends noting one with reinforcement, even overall, thick pile, painted field. Very good, no damage, repair, mothing, stain or odor.
Provenance: Phil Martin Estate. Phil's interest in Persian and Caucasian weavings began in the 1980's when he met Michael Grogan, who was still with Sotheby's at the time.
