The charcoal field is arranged with an all-over design of offset rows of boteh motif in a wide range of colors, all within an ivory border enclosing continuous rectangular flower heads linked by vines issuing dart shaped plants.
Measures 137 x 47 inches.
Very good condition, intact original sides and ends, low pile in the oxidized browns, 2-inch square amateur reweave in one end, no pet stain, odor or hardened areas, dry and dusty with a large amount of dog hair.
Provenance: Phil Martin Estate. Phil's interest in Persian and Caucasian weavings began in the 1980's when he met Michael Grogan, who was still with Sotheby's at the time.
