The blue field with a central stepped cruciform medallion flanked by pairs of serrated hooked 'L' shaped vines supported by similar mirrored vines, rhombus medallions and flower heads, within a blue 'kufic' border, twin stepped medallion guard borders.
Measures 81 x 49 inches.
Nice intact original sides and ends, including two completely original macrame ends. Nice even pile overall. No damage, repair, mothing, stain or odor. No heavy wear, corroded browns as expected.
Provenance: Phil Martin Estate. Phil's interest in Persian and Caucasian weavings began in the 1980's when he met Michael Grogan, who was still with Sotheby's at the time.
