ASSEMBLED SERVICE OF SERVES AND SEVRES STYLE PORCELAIN

301: ASSEMBLED SERVICE OF SERVES AND SEVRES STYLE PORCELAIN

Essentially three unrelated lots in this service, one group being Sevres from 1876:

1. Demitasse pot, small pitcher and sugar bowl without lid marked with correct Sevres signature and date mark for 1876. The chocolate pot has a chip on the spout, sugar bowl a nick on the rim, incorrect cover. Otherwise good condition free from chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear. The chocolate pot measures 8 x 7.5 inches.

2. Circa 1900. Five nice quality, thin-walled Sevres style demitasse cup and saucer sets with fully hand painted, artist-signed, portraits of ladies of the French court identified on the underside of each near a blue overglaze mark. Cups measure 2.5 x 3 inches, saucers 5 inches. Two saucers have pin prick size rim nicks, no other chips, cracks, repairs or heavy wear.

3. Twenty-two fully hand painted pieces circa 1900, maker unknown: two compotes 4.75 x 9.5 inches, one compote 3 x 9.5, two large chips under the rim of one larger example, otherwise good.

One compote 3 x 9.5 inches.

Eleven portrait plates 8.75 inches with gold wear, no chips, cracks, repairs or heavy scratches.

An unrelated blue vase circa 1920.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
