The fine solid mahogany example with D-shape top opens to reveal a very nice banded and inlaid oval mahogany surface over a conforming gate leg skirt having flame veneers and line inlay interrupted by oval ornaments of inlaid plumes over tapered legs embellished with satin wood bellflowers and stringing.
