Willard Velie, maternal grandson of John Deere, left the family business around 1892 to establish his own company, Velie Saddlery Co. Under the Veli name, he specialized in the production of finely crafted leather saddles, carriages and later automobiles and airplanes.
Very good condition, noting some stain to the red and white KC Saddlery, otherwise good without splits.
