162: CHARLES BANKS WILSON (1918-2013) RARE EARLY LITHOGRAPH

Charles Banks Wilson (Oklahoma, 1918-2013)
Story Teller (1939)
The rare, early low edition lithograph published in an edition of only 23 prints is signed and dated by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left, Hunt number 12.

Bank's comment in The Lithographs of Charles Banks Wilson by David C. Hunt read: As I look back, the old man with the little girl carrying her doll Indian fashion would have been enough for a picture, but I added other activities of the camp, such as men pitching horseshoes and little boys chasing little girls.
Image measures 10.25 x 12.75 with a framed size of 19.25 x 21.25 inches.
Very good condition, the full untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, no major stain, no punctures, tears or repair; framed to archival standards in acid free mounts.
