This blown studio glass vase with applications is the first work in glass by Sheldon Carey known to appear at auction. Carey worked with glass for a limited time beginning in the 1970s. This work is signed on the base by engraved signature and comes from a former neighbor of the artist. A scan of the Carey's in their home with similar works in glass is included int he online catalog.
Measures 7.25 x 4 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
