Straight-pull cam action rifle from only 20,000 manufactured between 1896 and 1916. The serial number places the year of production for this gun at 1897.

Stamped U.S.N. with anchor, 7038 and N.C.T top of the receiver ring and two line New Haven address/patent mark left side of the receiver MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.-'', ''NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PAT.OCT.10.93.JAN.30.94.OCT.8.95.

Blade front sight, folding ladder rear sights, smooth pistol grip stock with sling swivels and a smooth convex butt plate having trap door (no cleaning kit present), no clip.

This gun qualifies for shipping directly to a holder of FFL Type 03 License - Collector of Curios and Relics.
Measures overall 47.5 inches with 28 inch barrel.
Good condition, 50% or better finish, barrel and receiver has a nice patina, stock with a several dings, scratches and a 4 inch crack by the trigger guard. Bore condition: Very good condition.
