6304: A GEORGIAN TRIPOD TABLE WITH ELABORATE SHELL INLAY

The oval top centered by an elaborate conch shell inlay is ringed by various handsome veneers of highly figured woods and framed in a raised rim. The top is supported by a turned post raised on delicate tripod base. The legs are joined underneath by an original forged iron strap.
Measures 28.5 x 24.5 x 16.75 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear, noting the effects of age in the way of minor age splits and a bit f veneer loss on the rum as shown, old repairs and a chip where the legs meet the post, very tight and sturdy. Nice, dark, warm patina overall.
