6155: L.C. SMITH BAKER HAMMER SHOTGUN WITH DAMASCUS C. 1880

L.C. Smith Baker Patent 12 Gauge (serial #:3110)
The side-by-side with checkered walnut pistol grip stock and engraved border appears to be a Grade B gun produced before 1883. The rib is engraved L.C. SMITH MAKER OF BAKER GUNS SYRACUSE N.Y. DAMASCUS STEEL, the breech is engraved BAKER PAT', the water table is stamped 3110 B along with the forearm stock and other parts, the barrel is highly figured Damascus, not English twist.
Barrel is 30 inches.
Good condition, noting all-over heavy dings to the walnut stocks, later high gloss finish applied overall, a noticeable ding left barrel side, good, clean bore.
