6045: A LARGE MIDWESTERN ART POTTERY JARDINIERE AND PEDESTAL

The very large jardiniere with matching stand is of the style, construction, and clay type consistent with mid-western US makers, mostly Ohio based. Inscriptions in pencil in two different places suggests that this was a display piece at the Japanese Pavilion of the 1904 World's Fair held in St. Louis.
Measures 32.5 x 17 inches.
Good condition, noting two small side chips within the pattern. There are no major cracks or rim chips, no cracks or repairs.
