An excellent example of this boxed set, each albumen photograph in its original mount has the original legend verso (each with blue check mark) and are found in the original burgundy cloth covered box. This is the first edition of this particular Haynes set.
Each has a sight size measures 4.75 x 8 with an overall size of 9 x 12 inches.
Very good original untouched condition, noting a single blue check mark to each listing pasted verso.. There are no issues of mildew, major scratches, lifting, stain, fade, loss, repair, or touch-up. Some mounts display toning at the extreme edge and the case displays wear at some corners and edges. Very good condition overall and odor free.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
