MARY HUNTOON (1896-1970) PENCIL SIGNED WPA ETCHING

85: MARY HUNTOON (1896-1970) PENCIL SIGNED WPA ETCHING

Mary Huntoon (1896-1970)
K.C.K. Grain Elevator (Circa 1937)
The scarcely seen image from an edition of only 100 prints is signed by Mary Huntoon lower right and titled lower left. Museum records accessed online indicate this print was commissioned through the New Deal art projects some time between 1935 and 1938.

Our firm has been commissioned to sell a number of prints from this edition. On September 23, 2022 we sold a darker, more well saturated print with alternate title of Kansas City, Kansas - Grain Elevators.

This print is titled slightly differently and is not as strong an impression.
Image measures 7 x 10.75 , sheet is 10 x 12.75 inches.
Very good to fine condition, very clean, the full untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, stain, puncture or repair, never framed, no mat burn or mounting issues.

Provenance: The Alice C. Sabatini Gallery - Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library.
