AN EXCEPTIONAL MOSER RUBY CABOCHON LIQUEUR SET

376: AN EXCEPTIONAL MOSER RUBY CABOCHON LIQUEUR SET

The outstanding seven-piece set is comprised of six smartly cut and polished cordials with typical ruby glass panels in relief and the usual elaborate gold decoration. Unlike most, this set is raised on unusually fine and complex multi-faceted eight-sided stems cut in multiple levels and finished in elegant gold.

The decoration of the tall, tapering bottle matches the stems, then culminates near the spout in elegant design of eight arched panels below an artful touch of remaining ruby glass at the rim with polished arches. The stopper is an elaborate jeweled ornament.
Measures 15 x 5 x 5 and the cups are 6.5 x 3.25 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
