LYMAN BYXBE (1886-1980) PENCIL SIGNED AQUATINT ETCHING

10: LYMAN BYXBE (1886-1980) PENCIL SIGNED AQUATINT ETCHING

Lyman Byxbe (1886-1980)
R.F.D. (1934)
The fine and scarce aquatint etching displays a velvety burr and effectively depicts a complex depiction of blowing snow on a winter day in low light, while a family of mailboxes stands where they always have and a 1930s car moves down the road. The print is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left, number 159 in Crump.
Image measures 7 x 9.25 with a framed size of 15.75 x 17.5 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, very clean, intact, no visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
