366: CHINESE QING DYNASTY JADE GRAPE ARBOR WITH CLOISONNE

The hardstone grape arbors in cloisonne jardinieres are composed of brass vinery suspending jade leaves and amethyst grapes trained on faux bamboo motif brass arbor above an assortment of rockwork in various stones with carved figures of jade and carnelian.
Each measures 10.25 x 8 x 9 inches.
Scattered loosening, minor losses, surface grime and one jardinière rim loosened, no major damage or loss, break to the carnelian figure below one.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
