The somewhat stylized depiction of a two-masted galleon with removable upper and four wheels below is fitted with a dolphin form rudder, figural crew, anchor and other details.
Measures 18 x 16 x 4 inches.
Very good condition, noting lifting of the lacquer finish and slightly misshapen as shown.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
