The oval sterling silver picture frame is decorated in hand engraved 'C' scrolls and raised on ball feet is offered here with an early 20th century rectangular hammered sterling silver frame. Each has been engraved with a three letter monogram.
Measures 14.75 x 10 and 16.75 x 13.5 inches.
Very good tarnished condition, noting an elaborate engraved monogram of A R B on the oval frame and a simpler monogram of J B H on the rectangular example.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
