The shallow, rectangular box having hinged lid carved with figures of cherubs on volutes of acanthus in bas relief on either side of a campagna form urn, great warm patina overall.
Measures 3.5 x 16.25 x 10.75 inches.
Very good original condition.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
