The square enamel plaque with classical scene within convex center area bracketed by white fired-on enamel spandrels within a brass rococo easel back frame, circa 1890.
Measures 5 x 5.25 inches.
Very good condition, noting two very fine hairline cracks on the right visible only with raking light.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
