The lot of two items includes a sizeable footed cog-form canteen with iron carrying chain and western decorative motifs along with a bird form covered dish with brass bill and inlaid eye.
The duck measures 7 x 12 x 8 and the other is 13.5 x 11.5 x 2.25 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
