504: A BARBOUR SILVER ENAMELED STERLING CHILD'S FEEDING SET

The slightly tarnished child's feeding dish on underplate with similar fork and spoon are enameled with characters from traditional English fairy tales and nursery rhymes. The fork and spoon are made by Whiting while the bowl and underplate are stamped for Barbour Silver Co.
Plate measures 6.5, bowl is 1.75 x 4.625 inches, total weight 12.05 ozt.
Very good condition, noting the inscription 'Joe.'
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
