The pair of neo-classical tapered column pedestals with fluted fronts are raised on square plinths crafted from the distinctive and striking rouge marble of France.
Each measures 45.5 x 14.75 x 11.5 inches.
Very good condition throughout, noting a 1-inch bit of loss from the ormolu mount, no other damage, repair or heavy wear.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
