359: A SEVEN PIECE CHINESE EXPORT TEA SET WITH ENAMELING

The unusual early 20th century teapot, creamer, covered sugar, cup/saucer sets and spoons are decorated in floral and other enamels with script borders and raised on bamboo motif feet. Each piece is stamped with the maker's mark.
Cups measure 2.125 inches, saucers 4.325, spoons 4.125, teapot 5.5 x 9.5, sugar 4.5 x 6.5 and creamer 3.75 x 5.5 inches. Total weight 47.20 ozt.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair, monograms, losses or wear.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
