The lithograph from an edition of 250 prints published by Associated American Artists is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right, Fath number 44.

Benton's comments in Fath read: My Kansas City art students acted as scouts to find good models for our classes. This old man was from one of the small towns near K.C. A painting was made directly from life. The litho was made from the painting. The last I heard of this painting it was in India in the collection of an American doctor who resides there.
Image measures 10 x 12.25, sheet is 11 13.75, with a framed size of 18 x 19.75 inches.
Very good condition, noting close margins top and bottom not laid down, no damage, stain, puncture or repair.
