The lithograph from an edition of 500 prints published by Twain Publishers, New York is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right, Fath number 75.

Benton's comments in Fath read: Study made while preparing the mural 'Achelous and Hercules' for the Harzfeld Store in K.C. This shows an attempt to get a young bull to stand on a show carpet for this photograph.
Image measures 23 x 16, sheet is 16 x 20, with a framed size of 20.5 x 24.5 inches.
Very good condition as shown here outside the frame and mat, the full untrimmed sheet with deckle edges, not laid down, no damage, puncture or repair. There are tabs of paper tape remains extreme upper edge and a faint outline of toning from a previous mat that frames the image.
