406: AN EXCEPTIONAL 19TH CENTURY LOUIS XV STYLE PANETTIERE

The nine turned wood finials, both large and small, decorate the arched sides and peaked front of the spindled case of multi-serpentine form. This example is fitted with a lower drawer, which is rare for this form and has a slatted interior floor above the curvilinear scroll-cut apron upon cabriole whorl-and-hoof legs. The finials, drawer, patina, carvings and serpentine form of this example sets it apart from the vast majority.

Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, sun fade to the back side only.
