Benton's comments in Fath read: This portrait was made at the request of Harry Abrams to accompany a special edition of a book he put together on my career. It is one of the few front-face portraits I have attempted.




Image measures 14 x 11, sheet is 18 x 15, with a framed size of 23.5 x 21.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting a pale outline of toning around the image from previous mat. Otherwise good, no other stain, the full untrimmed sheet with deckle edges, not laid down, no damage, puncture or repair.
