POSTHUMOUSLY PRINTED ETCHINGS AFTER CEZANNE AND RENOIR

120: POSTHUMOUSLY PRINTED ETCHINGS AFTER CEZANNE AND RENOIR

1. After Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) titled Portrait du Peintre A. Guillaumin au Pendu, circa 1923. A posthumously printed etching depicting the French impressionist and lithographer Armand Guillaumin accented by a small vignette upper left apparently a reference to Cezanne's famous painting The Hanged Man's House, which was executed a year earlier at Auvers-Sur-Oise, a villa given that same name. Good to very good condition, noting the outline of a former mat toning around the image, the full untrimmed sheet with deckle edges, not laid down, no damage or repair. Image is 11 x 10, sheet is 20 x 14.5, and framed size is 23.5 x 17.5 inches.

2. After Pierre-Auguste Renoir French (1841-1919) titled Berthe Morisot, an early 20th century restrike on the full sheet with four deckle edges, not laid down, no damage or repair, the paper is toned and there has possibly been some fading of the image which is not a strong impression, the lines are less crisp due to wear of the printing plate. Image is 5.75 x 4.25, sheet is 13 x 10, and framed size is 19.75 x 18 inches.

3. André Jacques (French, 1880-1960), Portrait: Old Man. Signed within the plate lower center. Image measures 4.25 x 3.25 with a framed size of 12 x 10.75 inches.
