216: COWBOY ARTISTS OF AMERICA ILLUSTRATED AUTOGRAPHS

A collection of twenty 3 x 4 inch cowhide cards, each signed and illustrated by a member of the Cowboy Artists of America, the exclusive organization of juried artists founded in 1965. This collection was assembled by Tom Watson who served as honorary member of the CA, organizing events and providing administrative support. It was his practice to leave one of these blank leather cards with an artist to illustrate and sign for him. The collection includes original artwork by Tom Beard, Ace Powell, Byrone Wolfe, Fred Harman, Joe Beeler and others as shown. There is a blank sample included for a total of twenty-one leather pieces.
Each measures 3 x 3.75 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or wear.
