The thick native tanned hide pouch is decorated in sinew-sewn red, white and blue beading embellished by tin cone tinklers, the top flap closure is fastened by a nicely patinated brass button lustrous from use.
Measures 4.75 x 3.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting typical minor wear and cotton cord replacements suspending tinklers.
Provenance: The 40 year collection of Father Tom Wiederholt, Kansas City, Missouri. Tom was a close personal friend of scholar and curator Ralph 'Ted' Coe who advised Tom on most of his acquisitions.
