11: A FINE AND LARGE MEN'S CUFF WITH ROYSTON TURQUOISE

The substantial sterling silver cuff is constructed with strands of rope twist and triangular bands having stamp designs and topped by a fine large turquoise stone in sawtooth bezel within a grooved frame having twisted wire liner. The interior is stamped with the maker's signature J. SPENCER.

The seller's notes, read, ...'bought it from Lynn Tanner at Gallup Oct 1990 with Ted Coe... beautiful silver work, well worn, pawn.'
Inside circumference is 6.25 inches with a 1.25-inch gap. Very large turquoise stone measures 65 x 55 mm, overall bracelet width is 3.25 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
Provenance: The 40 year collection of Father Tom Wiederholt, Kansas City, Missouri. Tom was a close personal friend of scholar and curator Ralph 'Ted' Coe who advised Tom on most of his acquisitions.
