303: AN UNUSUAL JAPONESQUE AESTHETIC MOVEMENT ART GLASS VASE

The Victorian art glass vase of an unusual technique creating somewhat fiery opalescent glass with a crackle effect offset by two pulled glass handles of amethyst-colored glass applied each side. The squat form with rising neck is decorated in fired-on enamels. There is no pontil, the top rim is ground and polished, there are no maker's marks. This is thought to be the work of French or Bohemian makers, circa 1880.
Measures 6 x 6.5 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
