The Costa Rican or Panamanian depiction of a shaman with zoomorphic characteristics in low karat gold-copper mixture testing to weak 14 karat gold.

Originally, the gold figurines and depictions created by the Amerindians of Central and South America served as trading objects, ornamentation and symbols of power and status. Animals, deities and mythical figures were subjects.
Measures 1.75 x 1.25 inches with a weight of 19.2 grams.
