2: A FINE 18TH C. GEORGE III CHEST ON CHEST WITH INLAY

The handsome solid mahogany chest on chest is topped by a molded crown just above the carved dentil over a banded and flame mahogany frieze above two cock beaded drawers over three larger drawers flanked by canted pilasters that are banded and embellished in highly figured veneers. The base of slightly outset proportions features a slide-out folding work platform with two brass knobs over the three drawers in a cabinet raised on squared bracket feet.
