5: A HANDSOME EARLY HIGH BACK SADDLE STAMPED C. P. SHIPLEY

The fine example with high pommel and cantle is beautifully stamped in a crisp pattern of alternating diamonds overall, the warm mahogany brown color has a rich uniform patina throughout, the signature is older written out block letter maker's mark of C. P. SHIPLEY MAKER KANSAS CITY MO NO. 88.
Measures 16.5 inches from the base of the horn to the inside edge of the cantle.
Very good condition, noting some scattered light wear, replaced leather strings, no major damage, repair, abuse or wear.
