242: A LARGE LATE 20TH CENTURY PENOBSCOT BASKET

The tall, basket with woven ornamental features at the rim, shoulder and sides - the sides being ornamental woven grass handles - is further embellished with woven grasses laced into the weave near the base.
Measures 12.25 x 11 inches.
Very good condition, noting a fracture in a wide band as shown in the images.
