The fine and unusual example, circa 1910 and probably a tobacco container, is woven with a distinctive openwork rim encircling the foot of the pedestal base and the edge of the cover's rim. The cover, the body and the pedestal base are finely woven in well-balanced and striking geometric designs of deeply saturated natural fiber color.

Very good intact original, clean condition free from damage, repair, losses, chips, splits or issues of any type.
