The depiction of an amphibian inspired creature cast in approximately 14 karat gold with integral bail for wearing as a pendant. Tests to at least 14 karat.

Originally, the gold figurines and depictions created by the Amerindians of Central and South America served as trading objects, ornamentation and symbols of power and status. Animals were popular subjects as were mythical figures and indeterminate creatures like the figure here.
Measures 1.75 x 1.25 inches with a weight of 10.8 grams.
